Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are rapidly changing the game for businesses in every sector, especially when it comes to construction. Thanks to Visual Vocal and its VR/AR application (coupled with Chirp’s data-over-sound technology), construction project and job site management and training is now easier than ever before.
Who are Visual Vocal?
Visual Vocal focuses on one thing: powering a new generation of tools to enhance productivity, creativity, and communication by using VR and AR technology. At its core, the firm truly focuses on how users interact and use virtual content.
From the boardroom to the job site, Visual Vocal is helping on-site managers and stakeholders collaboratively work asynchronously or in real-time. The technology allows every member of a project see, interact, and collaborate with building sites, without having to be physically present, or in the same place at the same time. The multi-user framework also has the ability to create virtual classrooms for on-site safety and training to ensure every aspect of a project is seamless.
How is Chirp involved?
As you may (or may not!) know, Chirp harnesses data-over-sound technology to transmit data from one user to another. In the case of Visual Vocal, this technology helps users join meetings to collaborate in real-time, or collaborate asynchronously by sending a project to another user through sonic codes -- something the firm calls VV Sonic Pairing.
From there, users can interact with the project, sidestepping the need for any member to physically be present to make changes or suggestions as work continues.
The ConTechCrew Podcast
Visual Vocal’s technology was recently featured in the ConTechCew podcast with host James Benham, or JB as he’s affectionately known to his listeners, a major player in the AEC tech consulting space.
The podcast provides a live demo of the VV Sonic Pairing, powered by Chirp’s data-over-sound technology, and also dives into how Visual Vocal is using immersive computing to solve challenges around safety training, job site communication, and project pursuit.
Check out the full ConTechCrew podcast here, and tune in at 21:00 to check out the live demo of the sonic pairing in action!
